Dudley Tyrrell and The Deputies (Dudley Tyrrell, Rick Cassman,Paul Coppock, Dan Turton,Richard Lightman, Vyv Hope-Scott, Mark Freeman, Tanya Reed, Maria French)

On Wednesday 14 December, the eagerly awaited launch of the Teddington Lock-keepers CD, Ferry Road, will attract much media and celebrity attention. Dudley Tyrrell, best known for his sound-alike Bob Dylan (Bob Dylan recently sent his regards to Dudley during a meeting with Ronnie Wood) - has written all 14 songs himself, which can best be described as country/rock/folk with a little bit of blue grass and they are rendered with great feel-good vigour by his band and backing singers, The Deputies. Art Wood Ronnie Woods brother, Keith Grant and Don Craine of the Downliners Sect and Pete French of Leafhound, appear on several of the tracks while Percy Van Gough, who has jammed with Blues Incorporated and Rod Stewart, makes an appearance on mandolin, together with drummer Mark Freeman, who played with John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett. The entire CD will be performed live on the night. The first 50 through the door of The Eel Pie Club will get a complimentary signed copy of a limited edition Christmas single by Dudley. The 14-track CD will be on sale for 12. The party will continue on Wednesday 21 December for Eel Pie Club Members and their guests, with the famous Eel Pie All-Stars featuring musicians such as Ray Majors (ex Mott The Hoople and the Yardbirds), John Idan (The Yardbirds) Mick Avory (The Kinks), Art Wood (The Artwoods, Blues Incorporated), Don Craine and Keith Grant (The Downliners Sect), Pete French (Leafhound, ex Atomic Rooster and Cactus), Tom Nolan and John OLeary (ex Savoy Brown) plus a host of special musical celebrity guests for the Eel Pie Club Christmas Party where there will be complimentary mulled wine and mince pies plus a raffle. Admission to Dudley and The Deputies CD Launch and The Eel Pie Club Christmas Party are 8 (6 Club Members) each, with 5% of the net profit going to The Princess Alice Hospice. Annual Membership to the Club is 15. Check website www.eelpieclub.com for membership details and further information, or phone the Hot Line on 020 8973 3605.
